Location: Bloomington, MN and Shakopee, Minnesota (On-site)

Lead the manufacturing engineering group in the effort to optimize product, processes, and systems integral to manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution functions for North American Operations. Oversee daily engineering functions and ensure production support is prioritized to promote continuous improvement and maintain operational service levels.
Highlights
New Production Introduction (NPI): Guide the NPI (New Product Introduction) process for all brands & products relevant to North America inclusive of custom hearing instruments, standard hearing instruments, stock product, earmolds, accessories, etc.
Production Support: Oversee technical production support, ensuring service levels and equipment uptime are prioritized to meet production needs
Innovation: Identify and collaborate with suppliers / vendors to source new technologies, materials and equipment and ensure effective implementation to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiencies.
Compliance: Collaborate with Quality to maintain procedures and equipment records to sustain regulatory compliance. Participate in regulatory reviews and audits.
Continuous Improvement: Work with Global Stakeholders to define tools, processes, and software needed to manufacture new products and service products returned from the field.
Technical Development: Maintain and enhance technical knowledge relevant to investigations and analysis.
Leadership: Provide guidance and training to technical employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
Ideal applicants will possess at least five years of engineering background, especially in the field of medical device fabrication, along with a solid history of guiding major technical endeavors in either an engineering or a leadership role
Lean/Six Sigma: Experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
Medical Device Regulations: Knowledge of ISO13485 preferred
Competencies
Must have a complete understanding of product manufacturing; technology, processes, materials, and flow.
Capable of overseeing various initiatives concurrently, ensuring task prioritization aligns with the strategic aims of the organization.
Demonstrates initiative in beginning work and facilitates teamwork to honor project deadlines.
Strong knowledge of operation of consumer electronic devices, preferably hearing instruments
Adept at prioritizing responsibilities to optimize productivity in high-stress situations.
