Summary:
Accountable for branch growth through the expansion of member relationships, attaining goals, while providing ongoing performance feedback, support, coaching and mentoring to branch personnel. Managing the daily goals and service activities of the branch.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time in office position. Scheduled days and hours of work are within normal business hours. Minimal, if any, work outside the normal hours may be required as job duties demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Represents the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner that provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service. Oversee branch operations including, but not limited to: answering phones, responding to member requests, problems and complaints, initialing checks, loading gift cards, providing system overrides and troubleshooting outages. Maintain a safe and secure branch environment.
Provides leadership, support, and coaching to branch staff that reflects the credit union's ICARE service standards, so that members experience exceptional service, while enforcing and holding staff accountable.
Manages the security and safety of the branch, verifying that surveillance recording equipment is functioning properly on a weekly basis. Reviews branch security/safety policies and procedures with staff on a quarterly basis.
Provides ongoing training, performance feedback, cross selling support, coaching and mentoring to ensure quality service to members and that branch goals are met, especially during promotional campaigns.
Responds to complex member issues that are not resolvable by the branch staff.
Maintain strict confidentiality with member information.
Assists other branch managers with overall staffing problems such as branch offices that find themselves shorthanded.
Maintains a working knowledge of all state and federal regulations as applicable to branch operations. Ensures the branch is compliant with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.
Accurately complete Member Activity Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), and monetary instrument logs for all reportable transactions in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act policy and anti-money laundering guidelines.
Oversees completion of the work schedule of branch personnel to ensure proper service to the membership.
Open individual retirement accounts and certificates of deposits while also informing the member of other investment alternatives offered by Glass City Federal Financial Solutions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or a general education degree (GED). However, it is preferred that the candidate possess an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business/Financing with at least two years credit union or banking experience.
Preferred candidate with two - three years of supervisory experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
