GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Regional Sales Manager - Special Events will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing sales activities to maximize sales and profits for their region's Special Events Segment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, implement, and analyze sales programs, and make necessary adjustments as required.Establish and implement sales goals within management guidelines.Review the general business climate and adjust staffing and material as needed.Understand and support established sales policies and procedures to ensure sales personnel.Provide proper and effective treatment to customers.Apply knowledge of company products and services to assist sales representatives with providing quality customer service.Review and approve expenses requested by sales staff.Review and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner as directed and / or required.Establish, develop, and monitor internal sales representative organization.Represent company at trade organizations as required.Travel to customer locations to complete sales calls as required.Perform other related duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain an effective sales department through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination, and review of direct staff.Provide guidance and direction to sales personnel to assist them in their professional development.

Qualifications

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

Oral and written communication skills.Customer relations, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.Organization, planning and time management skills.

EDUCATION:

Degree: Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior sales and management experience required.
