Journeyman
Network Security Engineer
to join our team in the Washington, DC. This position supports a 24/7/365 service center. You will have the option of three different shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Performs as the highest-level technical expert, providing both internal and external consulting services.Works independently on advanced systems/software analysis projects.Remains current in operating systems/ software analysis and technological
developments/applications.Recommends future direction or projects to management.Implement DISA STIGs and secure AWS-based firewalls, proxies, and Cisco and Fortigate firewalls.Utilize security tools such as Tenable, BigFix, SCCM, Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, and FISMA findings to identify and remediate network vulnerabilities.Conduct audits to identify network security gaps and recommend solutions.Contribute to security incident management and response efforts.Secure site to site VPNs.Basic Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or related field.A minimum of two (2) years of related experience.Demonstrated experience working with STIGs, firewalls, proxies, Cisco network devices, vulnerability scanning tools, and FISMA requirements and findings.Demonstrated experience conducting network security audits.Demonstrated experience contributing to network security incident response.Preferred Qualifications:Proficient with ServiceNowClearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizenMust be able to obtain a Public TrustPhysical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the timeMust be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnelConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computerThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Receive tips & info on cleared job search, security clearances and career development.
