Position Description:
The Communications Analyst supports program activities and deliverables through the creation, preparation, planning, and execution of communications work products. This position is hybrid and supports the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Minimum/General Experience:
4 years of experience in a program support role.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
Above average experience designing quality and professional communications work products.
Experience researching and investigating workstream problems and recommending solutions.
Experience supporting and preparing the execution of communications.
Experience supporting stakeholder management.
Experience preparing and submitting meeting minutes and status reports.
Experience creating and managing monthly deliverable development.
Experience with risk and issue management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent collaboration skills.
Above average experience with Microsoft Suite (e.g., Excel (V-Lookup, pivot tables, formulas), PowerPoint, Word).
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities.
Knowledge of Human Resources within the federal/civil sector (preferred).
Experience with ServiceNow (preferred).
Security:
Ability to obtain/maintain a Federal Civilian Public Trust.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident that has lived in the United States for at least 3 years.
Federal Civilian Public Trust Consists of a review of up to but not limited to:
Covers 5-10 year period and in some instances lifetime events.
OPM Security Investigations Index (SII).
DOD Defense Central Investigations Index (DCII).
National Agency Check (NAC) records.
FBI name check.
FBI fingerprint check.
Credit report check.
Written inquiries to previous employers and references listed on the application for employment.
Potential interviews with the subject, spouse, neighbors, supervisor, coworkers.
Law enforcement check.
Court records check.
Education check- Attendance and Degrees.
Tasks/activities include, but are not limited to:
Designs and submits quality, well-formatted, clean, and professional communications work products including job aids, newsletters/spotlight pieces, and guidance documents.
Leverages internal and client resources as available to research and investigate workstream problems and recommends impactful approaches and solutions.
Supports preparation for and execution of communications and stakeholder engagement including proofing and editing training documents.
Prepares and submits weekly meeting minutes and weekly updates as needed.
Creates and maintains the monthly deliverable development, status reports, and risk and issue management.
Navigates and shifts priorities as needed to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual projected pay range for this position is $72,061 - $130,315 with consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.
