Federal court experience is required for this role, as the firm handles complex criminal defense cases involving serious charges.This position offers substantial room for professional growth and collaboration within a team-oriented environment.Duties:Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding their rights and case details.Draft, review, and prepare legal documents and motions related to criminal cases.Represent clients in pretrial hearings, offering counsel on the best possible legal strategies.Conduct thorough legal research and prepare for court appearances, including trial.Manage the preparation and presentation of evidence, including interviewing witnesses.Analyze legal precedents to assess potential outcomes and risks for clients.Manage a diverse caseload of criminal cases efficiently and effectively.Advise clients on possible legal strategies and outcomes based on case specifics.Collect and organize evidence to support the client's defense or challenge prosecution claims.Prepare clients for depositions, and gather testimonies from witnesses and experts to bolster case positions.Requirements:Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense law.Demonstrated experience handling complex criminal cases, both at the state and federal levels.Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.Ability to effectively manage a large and varied caseload.Proven track record of handling criminal cases with a high level of professionalism.Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active State Bar membership.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of California.Skills:Expert knowledge of criminal law and legal procedures.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.High-level organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
