link.The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, located on the George H. Cook Campus, is one of the largest schools of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We pursue excellence in research, teaching, and outreach in areas of study that address the biological spectrum from molecules to ecosystems. Our emphasis is on both the fundamental sciences and the social and human dimensions. We offer 21 undergraduate majors, including plant and animal sciences, microbiology, biotechnology, agriculture and food systems, landscape architecture, food and nutritional sciences, ecology and evolution, marine science and oceanography, environmental sciences and meteorology, human ecology, entomology, and environmental economics.In addition to instruction in the classroom, field, and laboratory, our students have opportunities for experiential learning on and off campus, including a growing emphasis on international experiences through short- and long-term study abroad. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Marine Boundary Layer Cloud Specialist for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.Among the key duties of the position are the following:Assists the PI with an analysis and manuscript development for two or more projects related to Marine Boundary Layer Convective Complexes over the Eastern North Atlantic.Assists the PI with the completion of several publications involving research at various stages of completion.Position Status

Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D. in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science.A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience.Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with specific experience in transition stratocumulus will be preferred and some experience analyzing output from the Weather Research and Forecasting Model (WRF).Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated experience using the cloud radars deployed at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Eastern North Atlantic Observatory and an established publication record with an emphasis on marine boundary layer clouds.Expertise in marine boundary layer physics in the form of peer-reviewed publications.Experience using the MATLAB scripting language.Posting Details
