The CPO will be responsible for the strategy and implementation of the campaign, as well as for the overall performance and growth of philanthropic revenue, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. This role demands a dynamic and trusted leader with a proven track record in philanthropy, including capital campaign management, and the ability to build and execute ambitious development strategies. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented, high-performing individual with exceptional interpersonal and people management skills, committed to the mission of the organization and dedicated to working with a diverse range of stakeholders. Applicants for the CPO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 7-10 years' experience in a senior fundraising leadership role, with a strong preference for those holding an advanced degree and a CFRE credential. The role requires a candidate with high emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think and plan strategically. The CPO will be expected to work closely with the Executive Team, including the CEO, to ensure that all resources are leveraged to support the organization's revenue generation. Essential qualifications include a proven ability to manage and mentor staff, a deep understanding of philanthropic best practices, and a passion for animal welfare, education, and environmental conservation.
