The DCIO will be responsible for budgeting, resource development and allocation, policy formation, technology evaluation, and service development, delivery, and deployment. This role involves direct oversight of client services and infrastructure, including help desk, desktop support, networking, telecom, system administration, and data center operations. The successful candidate will also be involved in managing business operations to enhance cost effectiveness, service quality, and IT operational effectiveness, and will act on behalf of the CIO in their absence. Candidates for the DCIO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' of experience in an IT-related field, with a preference for those holding a Master's degree. Senior leadership experience in a complex organization, particularly within the higher education sector, is essential. The role requires expertise in budget management, a commitment to diversity and inclusive environments, and a proven track record in strategic planning and management of technology operations. Skills in technology trend analysis, long-term planning, and the ability to balance innovation with operational and financial needs are also necessary.
