Your mission will be to: Collaborate with the Sales Team and Cross-functional Partners: Work closely with Merieux NutriSciences sales team members, affiliated companies, and industry associations to drive collaborative efforts, share insights, and ensure cohesive sales strategies are met for Expert Partners business lines. Lead Discovery and Qualification: Prioritize lead discovery by actively engaging with leads from various sources, qualifying prospects thoroughly, and identifying their needs and interests to position Merieux NutriSciences solutions effectively. Prospect and Cultivate New Leads: Drive sales growth through targeted research, aggressive prospecting, and cold calling, focusing on new and potential accounts. Engage prospects with tailored presentations that highlight Merieux NutriSciences offerings. Account and Relationship Management: Establish and strengthen client relationships within focus accounts through routine web-based or in-person meetings. Work to meet client needs across all company services and document efforts in CRM systems. Proposal and Presentation Development: Manage the proposal process by collaborating with technical experts and presenting capabilities. Ensure timely and effective delivery of proposals, addressing each prospect's specific needs. Client Needs Assessment: Conduct phone and web-based interviews, discussions, and surveys to assess current and potential client needs. Actively listen and document findings to inform strategic account management and sales positioning. Participate in Cross-functional Sales Meetings: Engage in meetings with Laboratory Operations, Customer Care, and Sales to review existing clients, uncover opportunities, and strategize on potential sales efforts. Technical Expertise and Professional Development: Continually update selling skills and technical knowledge by participating in available training on Merieux NutriSciences services, industry trends, and emerging technologies. Collaboration with Marketing: Work with the marketing team to develop and update sales content, manage special projects, and ensure alignment with marketing strategies. Utilize CRM and Sales Tools: Maintain comprehensive client records, document all significant interactions, and leverage CRM and other tools (e.g., sales reports, pivot tables, myMXNS) to support account management and track sales progress. Maintain Market Awareness: Stay informed on competitors strengths, weaknesses, policies, and pricing to enhance our positioning in bid situations. Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional work-related duties as requested to support the goals of Merieux NutriSciences. YOUR PROFILE This position requires knowledge in food testing, regulation, or consulting, typically obtained from a degree in Food Science or by working in the food or adjacent industries to understand the complexity of the services provided by Merieux NutriSciences. Knowledge & Skill Strong knowledge of sales techniques is helpful in presenting information to potential clients. Experience in food science, food safety, food processing, or food quality assurance is recommended to identify with the concerns and challenges of clients and potential clients. Working knowledge of computers, Google suite, and Microsoft software products is essential for performing duties. Good organizational skills and time management are essential to perform assigned tasks. Strong interpersonal communication skills are critical in order to promote company services and programs, identify and respond to clients and potential clients needs, and to build professional relationships. Job Complexity This position makes frequent calls to clients and potential clients to determine their needs and interest level in Merieux NutriSciences products and services, and to further qualify and segment leads and develop proposals. In order to provide quality service, information given to clients must be accurate and current. The position responds to clients and prospects questions of a routine nature. The position may receive more complex questions that may require some research and follow-up. The position will need to keep abreast of new and developing product and test information to ensure potential clients are not receiving information that is outdated or inaccurate. Data sources typically used to solve problems include discussions with the Expert Services team, industry experts, and written documentation on service and product lines. Work results are reviewed frequently by the Director and Executive Management. WHY JOIN US?
