Since then, they have expanded significantly in both perishable and non-perishable markets, now recognized as a complete supply chain solutions company. They specialize in transportation management for thousands of customers annually, ensuring that shipments are loaded and delivered on time and in excellent condition. The company offers FTL, LTL, Expedited, Refrigerated Transport, Flatbed Transport, and Dry Van Transport services. Business Development Manager Our client is looking for multiple highly experienced Business Development Managers (TL / LTL) who understand how to build a significant book of business. This role involves identifying and closing new customer business, with sourcing and operations handled internally. If you seek to work independently with limited oversight, this could be the role for you Job Type: Full-time/work from home Responsibilities: Identify, develop, and close new contracted, dedicated accounts. Design and execute account sales plans to achieve sales goals. Actively generate new sales opportunities and convert them into revenue-generating accounts. Build meaningful relationships within each account. Create and develop new business from prospective customer/shipper accounts. Provide rate quotations to potential customers. Emphasize the utilization of refrigerated, dry van, flatbed, and other transportation equipment to service new customer relationships. Experience: Bachelors degree preferred. 5 years of experience in brokerage customer sales. Verifiable growth track record. Effective negotiation skills to maintain pricing and margin integrity. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Portable book of domestic ground transportation customers preferred. Extensive network of contacts. Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills. Entrepreneurial mindset and highly self-driven. Able to work independently and as a team player. Understanding of what it takes to be successful.
