Overview:
Logistics Managers serve as a liaison between the broker, client, carrier, shipper, and receiver. They are responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with all parties to provide excellent customer service.Responsibilities:Quickly provide rate quotes to customers (TL, LTL, Volume, Spot)Work directly with customers on quotes and negotiate pricing for servicesReceive and process shipments according to customer needs, shipment entry, tracking and follow upManage daily load activities through discussion with customers and carriers to ensure excellent customer serviceContact assigned existing and potential customers to develop customer and carrier relationsResearch provider performance problems and provide feedback that facilitates resolutionProactively manage freight on behalf of customersAddress inquiries and troubleshoot issues for customersUnderstand all aspects of LTL freight (Class and density, Accessorials, Freight characteristics, Rating and auditing, scheduling, etc.)Qualifications:
2-3 years brokerage/logistics experience preferredKnowledge of international shipping is a plusStrong teamwork, initiative, and customer service skillsStrong working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other technology related to the brokerage industryExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to efficiently manage time in a fast-paced environment and quickly change prioritiesStrong ability to multi-task efficiently within multiple software programsSelf-MotivatedProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)Demonstrate knowledge of the LTL industry and aspects of LTL freight and shipping18 years of ageFluent in EnglishAble to pass a drug screenLegally eligible to work in the United StatesBenefits:
