Sr. Logistics Manager

Job Overview:
The Sr. Logistics Manager will act as site manager and manage the team of transmission and parts receiving, finished goods shipping and warehousing operations. Responsible for the safety, process adherence and continuous improvement activities related to the receiving and put-away process, exception management, dock management, inventory control, flow of material to the production as well as daily picking and shipping of finished goods. This role is part of the supply chain and logistics organization and will work cross functionally with multiple areas of the company including operations, customer service, purchasing and shipping. Accountable for KPI's such as for timely receiving and put-away, inventory accuracy for the site, dock management, daily on-time shipping percentage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and driving Environmental Health and Safety policies for the site.Responsible for the team and activities related to receiving, processing, put away and exception management. As well as picking and transferring to the manufacturing locations and putting away for production use.Ensure team delivers daily site KPI expectations and improve processes related to those KPI.Establish, maintain and improve operational procedures for activities such as verifying incoming shipments, handling and disposition of product, warehouse inventory accuracy, receiving and shipping operations.Assists with material handling equipment evaluations and purchases.Responsible for the physical layout design of the warehouses and optimal material flow.Provide expertise regarding warehousing, receiving & shipping operations.Coordinates labor analysis and departmental staffing to ensure proper staffing levels to meet service levels and productivity goals.Oversee and develop supervisors through one-on-one coaching, training on policy and procedures, assisting in problem resolution when required, and leading by example.Participating in the weekly sales and inventory planning process for the plant.Drive engagement and retention and create a culture that embodies ETE's core values.Reviewing staffing requirements and monitoring the interviewing and hiring with People function.Review performance, coach to achieve productivity and safety targets, and deliver disciplinary action as needed.Work overtime as needed to meet targets.Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years in working in warehousing and logistics roles within a worldclass manufacturing environment.Undergraduate Degree in supply chain, logistics or equivalent subject matter required.Demonstrated experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution center at a manager level. Direct experience in managing warehousing and receiving.Working knowledge of Infor Syteline preferred. Familiarity with supply chain and warehouse management systems.Demonstrated effective leadership and team development.Able to write routine reports and procedures and provide training to assigned personnel.Strong computer skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelElectrical Lifting Equipment experience and certifications preferred.Understanding of forecasting and budgeting.

This position is primarily located in our manufacturing facility. At the manufacturing facility, you will be exposed to a variety of smells and sounds associated with the manufacturing process. Eye, shoe and ear protection is required when you go on the manufacturing floor.
