Job Summary:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for complex support of the company's information technology, applications and servers, which includes analysis, installation, testing, maintenance, operations, planning, response to service outages, and other problems.

This position ensures the integration of various elements of technology so that they function effectively for end users.

The Systems Administrator work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Systems Administrator maintains and monitors software and servers ensuring proper administration of software licensing and updates.

The position may configure, maintain, and monitor security access control systems.

The position may work with the disaster recovery function in planning and coordinating business continuity efforts, including backup and restoration of data and ensuring high systems availability.

Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in VPN Networking and PowerShell.

This role involves developing and maintaining geospatial data systems to support our company's objectives and positively impact society.

Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain geospatial data systems to support company objectives.• Implement VPN networking solutions to ensure secure data transmission.• Utilize PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks to enhance system efficiency.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial data into various applications.• Analyze and interpret geospatial data to provide actionable insights.• Create and maintain detailed documentation of geospatial systems and processes.• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to geospatial data and systems.• Provide technical support and training to team members on geospatial tools and technologies.• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all geospatial projects.• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in geospatial engineering.• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for geospatial data management.• Participate in project planning and execution to meet deadlines and deliverables.• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their geospatial data needs.

Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree• 3+ years of corporate IT experience with general networking and server knowledge• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Access• Experience with SolarWinds, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Cisco ASA Firewalls, and/or PowerShell• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Qualifications :• Strong background in VPN networking and its implementation.• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.• Solid understanding of geospatial data systems and their applications.• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.• Up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in geospatial technology.• Proven track record of working in a hybrid work model.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Detail-oriented and committed to data accuracy.• Experience in providing technical support and training.• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation.• Project management skills to meet deadlines.• Proactive in contributing to best practices and standards.

Certifications Required:• Certified GIS Professional (GISP)• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
