Job Overview: This position manages a team that is responsible for all activities related to materials planning and inventory management of the plant. This includes inventory management, purchasing, expediting, cycle counting, monthly sales inventory and operations planning (SIOP) for the company, demand planning & master scheduling. The performance of this role is measured by improvements in Inventory Days on Hand, On time Delivery to customers, Inventory Accuracy and Master Schedule Attainment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Promote a safety-first workplace.Manage all day-to-day processes and activities related to inventory management, purchasing, expediting, demand planning, master scheduling, cycle counting.Responsible for achieving inventory reduction objectives across all categories for ETE.Leads the implementation of materials planning and inventory management best practices.Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy across all warehouses.Conducts daily, weekly and monthly review of key inventory reports that includes aging inventory, system parameter compliance, parts/material shortages, negative-on-hand, inventory days-on-hand on an as needed basis.Implements and manages a Flan For Every Part strategy (PFEP).Maintain master data and parameters of all ERP materials planning and inventory management processes.Drive weekly master schedule attainment in collaboration with the operations team.Root cause inventory discrepancies and implement preventive actions to achieve the target of inventory accuracy.Responsible for the development and execution of the weekly master scheduling process.Responsible for the monthly SIOP process for the plant.Support item phase-ins or phase-outs from a supply chain perspective.Drive career development and talent management within the plant materials team.Understands ETE core values and leads by example.Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in materials planning and inventory management in an automotive or industrial manufacturing environment.Undergraduate Degree is required, with an emphasis on Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management.APICS CPIM certification or similar is preferred.High level of proficiency in materials planning and inventory management related technology such as ERP systems, Forecasting Software, Warehouse Management, Business Intelligence and Scheduling Tools in Infor Syteline (preferred), Oracle, SAP or similar ERP systems.Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.Proven track record in improving On-time Delivery and reducing inventory Days on Hand.Ability to manage highly effective teams in a dynamic supply chain environment.Excellent communication and facilitation skills - both oral and written. Ability to effectively connect with varying levels in the organization.Working ConditionsThis position is primarily located in our manufacturing facility.At the manufacturing facility, you will be exposed to a variety of smells and sounds associated with the manufacturing process.Eye, shoe and ear protection is required when you go on the manufacturing floor.
