Responsibilities
Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recordedPrepares bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accountsAssists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expensesPrepare monthly accruals and reclassification journal entries, if necessaryCompiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reportsParticipate in SAP implementation testing, data migration and processes optimizationAdheres to deadlines established on monthly close calendarParticipates in audits and provide necessary support to comply with requests for informationAssists with development of streamlined accounting processesResearch accounting issues as neededOther duties as assigned or as neededPosition Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting2+ years’ experience in mining, manufacturing, or an accounting firmProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)SAP experience requiredSpecial Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
