Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will be a key part of our accounting team, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting activities, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to critical decision-making processes and to grow within a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Management: Prepare, verify, and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately. Manage account reconciliations, including bank statements and general ledger accounts, to ensure accuracy. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Support consolidation of subsidiary financial statements and ensure intercompany transactions are reconciled. Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results. Prepare schedules, supporting documentation, and reconciliations for internal and external audits. Variance Analysis and Forecasting: Conduct financial analysis to explain variances from budget and forecast. Provide insights into trends, costs, and profitability to support decision-making. Process Improvement: Assist with the development and implementation of new processes and controls to streamline accounting functions. Drive efficiencies in financial reporting processes through automation and system enhancements. Compliance and Audit: Support compliance with financial policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to SOX and GAAP. Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing requested information and implementing recommended improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger management and financial reporting. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with audits (SOX experience is a plus). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
