Director Revenue Management

Job Summary:
Lead and develop all phases of Revenue Management initiatives across the enterprise; develop pricing strategies, routines and processes to optimize category margin structures; drive pricing strategies to enhance profitability and ensure offerings remain competitive and aligned with market dynamics; develop and deploy standardized reporting; conduct analysis to provide strategic recommendations and tailor market strategy to optimize revenue and margin; support execution and expansion of analytics based pricing and other optimization of financial elements of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Margin Optimization
Perform analytics of product assortment margin structure and identify gaps and drive execution of corrective actions
Ensure overall product cost, margin, freight (domestic and International) and other costs are allocated appropriately by European Imports warehouses and reflected in pricing to Sysco sites.
Develop and implement pricing routine to evaluate margins and adjust as needed to accommodate product price changes, market fluctuations and profitability trends.
Develop and deploy standardized reporting to support business decision making related freight optimization, product life cycle management, cost/ margin components and market cost movement.
Competitive Pricing Analysis
Develop and execute pricing routines to consistently evaluate competitive pricing (internal & external) and take action to adjust pricing as needed to drive additional volume opportunities
Commodity Pricing
Develop pricing process and systems to ensure commodity pricing fluctuations are captured and passed on to end customers
Monitor commodity markets that affect European Imports portfolio to ensure and develop strategies to drive margins and mitigate losses
Pricing Leadership
Set pricing and margin thresholds
Works as primary influencer for all pricing and margin related routines and actions
Lead daily, weekly and monthly margin meetings with key stakeholders
Collaborate cross functionally with Finance, Merchandising, Corporate Revenue Management and SCIM team for all pricing and pricing related routines and actions
Work closely with Sysco corporate revenue management team and serve as the European Imports pricing subject matter expert to understand enterprise margin trends and propose recommendations as appropriate
Other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
Four-year college degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or another analytical field of study
Experience Required:
8+ years experience in a Revenue Management or e-Commerce Merchandising and execution of pricing strategy or a combination of relevant experiences specific to food service domestically and internationally
Experience Preferred:
Transformation of pricing strategy inclusive of a shift to technology driven quantitative optimization of pricing strategies
Technical Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to tell the data story
Demonstrated ability to learn new platforms and technology quickly
Extensive knowledge of ecommerce data collection technologies, key trends and framework
Strong business acumen and proven track record for driving business results through strong leadership, communication, effective internal and external relationships
Exceptional analytical skills to identify and quantify new opportunities and gaps and the ability to synthesize and analyze large sets of data to yield actionable findings
