Job Title: Mechanical Assembler ($18-24/hr.)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This role involves building custom machines from start to finish and refurbishing existing machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in mechanical assembly, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This is a full-time position on the first shift, with opportunities for overtime and occasional Saturday work. The role is contract-to-hire with a duration of 18 weeks.
Responsibilities
Build custom machines from start to finish and refurbish existing machines.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Use hand and power tools to assemble machines.
Build crates and skids for shipping.
Troubleshoot and repair machines being built.
Apply basic math skills, including ratios, weights, and the metric system.
Test machines and troubleshoot any issues.
Mount sensors and pneumatic components in machines.
Operate cut-off saws, bending equipment, and drill presses.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Participate in daily organizational meetings, providing input, questions, and concerns.
Follow work orders to complete jobs within the specified time frame.
Essential Skills
Mechanical assembly experience (minimum 2 years required).
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Possession of basic hand tools and a multi-meter.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with machine building.
Automotive mechanic skills.

The team builds and refurbishes industrial printers for various industries, including printing on buckets, pails, and bottle caps. All machines are custom-built to meet unique client requirements.
