Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Requirements Must have PCU experience & be able to read strips Experience with Tele/cardiac RN duties Experience with PCU level care Ability to titrate drips Familiarity with common titratable &/or set rate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix Able to read and interpret Tele strips Schedule Information Shifts are 7a-7p, 7p-7a Rotating shifts will not occur more than weekly Block scheduling may be considered based on unit needs Weekend requirements: Every other Holiday requirements: Every other Unit Specific Information Number of beds: 32 Common diagnosis / Types of patients: adults and geriatrics Patients with cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and ETOH COVID Bipap patients, occasional general surgical with heart history Medical patients with cardiac history, pneumonia, COVID, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, sepsis RT Equipment includes Bipap, trachs, airvo, etc. Additional Details Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasionally 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow 1:3 Charge nurse on each shift may take a light patient load Nurse aids/patient care techs goal ratio 1:10 Two 12-hour orientation shifts on the first week, independent by the subsequent Sunday Radius Rule: 50 miles exclusion zone for full-time, part-time, or PRN with associated CommonSpirit facilities RTO required upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract), no additional RTO approval after submission
