Are RNs required to titrate drips?: YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, betablockers, seizure medicationsIs there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge NurseAre there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: 1:10 or 2:20How many shifts of unit/department-specific orientation?: First week is onboarding and then 1-2 days of orientation on the floorAdditional Details
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Cardiac, nephrology, stokes, DM, continuous EEG monitoringAttributes that will help a nurse be successful on this unit are a positive attitude, helping others, good communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to problem solveRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
