Department: PCUBeds: 35Ratios: 1:4-5Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Cardiac, nephrology, strokes, DM, continuous EEG monitoringCharge Nurse takes assignmentHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: First week is onboarding and then 1-2 days of orientation on the floorAdditional Details
RNs required to titrate drips: YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, betablockers, seizure medicationsCharge Nurse presence on each shiftNurse aids/patient care techs ratio: 1:10 or 2:20Floating Requirements: Medical floors, ICU, or rehabAttributes that will help a nurse be successful: positive attitude, helping others, good communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to problem solveRadius Rule: 50 milesRTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
