Summary:Our award-winning client is seeking a Director Supply Chain to join their team.The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain principles, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and transportation.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.Procurement and Supplier Management: Oversee sourcing, negotiation, and contract management with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance.Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including carrier selection, route optimization, and transportation mode selection.Optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts and excess inventory, and implement effective inventory control systems.Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain efficiency and identify areas for improvement.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as negotiating better deals with suppliers, optimizing transportation routes, and reducing inventory holding costs.Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, natural disasters, and geopolitical events.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record in driving supply chain optimization and cost reduction.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.Experience in the defense industry is a plus.
