Position Summary
The Owner Relations Supervisor will oversee the Owner Relations team responsible for managing relationships with mineral owners, royalty owners, working interest owners, surface owners, and other key stakeholders. This role involves researching and resolving owner inquiries and disputes, oftentimes in collaboration with other departments, within company and industry standards and requirements. The supervisor will also be responsible for process improvements, training, and team development. This position will also manage incoming records and will be responsible for all physical documents in the Land Department. The position reports to the Lease Records Manager and is located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job FunctionsSupervise Owner Relations team - Lead a team of owner relations representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure that the team handles owner inquiries efficiently and professionally.Owner communication - Oversee and ensure accurate and timely communication with royalty owners, working interest owners, and other stakeholders regarding payment details, account changes, and other relevant information.Dispute Resolution - Manage complex owner inquiries and disputes, including title issues, payment questions, and ownership changes. Work with various internal stakeholders, including Land, Legal, and Accounting teams to resolve issues effectively and professionally.Process Improvement - Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and owner satisfaction.Training and DevelopmentProvide ongoing training and support to the Owner Relations team. Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members are knowledgeable about company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments (land, legal, accounting, operations) to ensure smooth workflow and resolution of owner issues.Data Management - Oversee the maintenance of accurate records in the company's land management system, ensuring data integrity and timely updates. Maintain landowner records and data entry.Reporting - Prepare regular reports on owner relations activities, including key performance indicators (KPIs), trends in owner inquiries, and resolution times.This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position. Minimum Qualifications
