A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night ICU RN's. 13 Weeks, Every other Weekend/Holiday. Open Heart Trained.Job Requirements
Department: ICU RNNurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for PedsCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distressAre RNs required to titrate drips?: YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Any cardiac drip, insulin, sedationAre there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to ventAre there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs required to read and interpretHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3 shiftsSchedule Information
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1830, 1830-0630 // Self scheduling for core staff, travelers added in.
