Job Title: Systems Analyst II Department: IS&T Reports to: Clinical Analyst III Manager Revision Date: 10/15/2024 Grade Level: 25 Status: Exempt Job Summary: The Systems Analyst II supports revenue cycle software applications, payroll systems, human resources applications, general ledger, and purchasing/materials management software. Under the supervision of the Clinical Analyst III Manager, this role oversees application management, project execution, and system optimization across these critical administrative and financial platforms. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of Oswego Health's systems. Meditech Expanse experience is desired but not required. Duties/Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations of revenue cycle applications, payroll, human resources, general ledger, and purchasing/materials management systems. Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring tasks, milestones, resource allocation, and status tracking are communicated clearly. Lead small and medium-sized projects involving coordination between one or more departments. Ensure seamless integration and effective maintenance of systems that manage financial transactions, employee data, general ledger processes, and materials procurement. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues affecting end-users, especially within the revenue cycle, general ledger, and administrative platforms. Provide timely updates to the Clinical Analyst III Manager on project tasks, potential issues, and resource needs. Facilitate team meetings and foster positive working relationships with internal staff and external vendors. Provide training, support, and documentation for users of the applications supported. Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately. Evaluate and redesign workflows related to revenue cycle, payroll, HR, general ledger, and procurement processes to enhance efficiency. Build and share knowledge of industry best practices and application improvements. Participate in the On Call Rotation to provide after-hours support as needed. Adhere to change control processes and maintain high customer service standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Experience with revenue cycle software applications, payroll, HR systems, general ledger, and purchasing/materials management platforms. Familiarity with financial processes in a healthcare setting, such as billing, claims management, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. Experience with Meditech Expanse is desired but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application-related problems and workflow inefficiencies. Strong project management abilities, including meeting deadlines and supervising project resources. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and external vendors. Ability to make sound judgments in decision-making and project management. Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, or related discipline required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. 3-5 years of experience supporting revenue cycle, payroll, HR, general ledger, or purchasing systems in healthcare or related fields. Experience with implementing and supporting information systems, especially in a healthcare environment. Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required. Working Conditions: Requires use of a personal vehicle for work-related tasks. Position involves working in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use. Ability to differentiate colors and see small objects at close range. Requires lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Participation in cross-training, in-service programs, and required meetings. Complies with Department of Health requirements for annual health assessments and immunizations. Pay Range: $72,800 - $93,600 annually Salary is based on experience and qualifications
