Summary You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Health Physics Branch (Code 105.57), Deputy, Radiation health division (Code 105.5A), Radiation Health Division (Code 105.5), Deputy, Radiological Control NNSY Waterfront (Code 105.1W), Radiological Control Office (Code 105) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will manage and maintain comprehensive medical surveillance and radiation health physical exam programs. You will conduct internal audits of radiation health physical exam program according to the established protocol criteria. You will prepare, administer, and document the radiation health program audit and surveillance program to include audits of radiation medical examinations and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with directives. You will coordinate and actively track all radiation exams that are in process until completion. You will provide corrective action response to management of all radiation physical discrepancies identified during audits. You will produce and edit technical reports detailing findings and evaluations in addition to developing procedural guides. You will prepare and present technical briefing to training. Provide Radiation Health Physical Exam Program training to military and civilian personnel in accordance with the P-5055, MANMED, NAVSEA 3890000V and NAVSEA 3890288 standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of types of ionizing radiation medical examinations, medical terminology, REAB processes, reporting, documentation requirements of radiation health programs, duties of medical department personnel, radiation health officer duties and responsibilities, and occupational radiation exposure per NAVMED P-5055. MANMED and NAVSEA. Experience preforming and evaluating audits of radiation health physical examinations, quality assurance of radiation protection programs, and ionizing radiation work. Experience analyzing and interpreting medical data, proactively resolve issues, and communicate effectively both orally and written. Experience providing technical direction and communicating technical information for reports, instructions and operating procedures of a Radiation Health Program. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of types of ionizing radiation medical examinations, medical terminology, REAB processes, reporting, documentation requirements of radiation health programs, duties of medical department personnel, radiation health officer duties and responsibilities, and occupational radiation exposure per NAVMED P-5055. MANMED and NAVSEA. Experience conducting studies, collecting and organizing data for statistical reports or instructions and consult with activity representatives. Experience providing technical direction and communicating technical information for reports, instructions and operating procedures of a Radiation Health Program. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and explaining medical data.
