Job Description:Position Details:Average annual earnings of $60,000.During the 8-week training period, earn $190 per day. This Driver Trainee role serves as an entry point for those looking to gain experience in freight hauling and operating tractor trailers, while assisting seasoned drivers with their routes and deliveries.Key Responsibilities:Successfully complete the Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.shadow assigned trainers while assisting with deliveries.Conduct necessary safety checks and inspections of the tractor and trailer according to DOT regulations.Report any safety issues and perform required safety checks.Follow all DOT regulations and safety guidelines.Verify that freight is loaded securely and accurately, and handle relevant paperwork with care.Execute deliveries according to a predetermined schedule.Unload products and transport them to designated customer areas.Check for damaged goods and handle customer returns according to company policy.Prepare accurate delivery verification and obtain the necessary signatures.Ensure timely completion of daily logs as per DOT and company requirements.Maintain cleanliness and organization in the truck and loading dock area.Carry out additional duties as assigned to support company operations.Qualifications:6-12 months of commercial driving experience.High school diploma or equivalent.Valid CDL A license.Must meet all state licensing and certification requirements.A minimum age of 21 years.Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.Must pass a road test.Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.Able to lift and move products weighing between 10-90 pounds during shifts.About Us:Performance Foodservice, part of Performance Food Group, proudly serves a diverse range of local customers, including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries.
