- Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to ensure material is picked up and delivered to the destination in a timely, cost-efficient manner. Manage service providers for Inbound and Outbound transportation services. Measure all costs and own the process that enables freight recovery. Manage team of local drivers, and customs brokerage. Perform as a key collaborator in supply chain planning that ensures our logistics framework meets the needs of our clients and our businessWarehouse
- leading day-to-day tasks of the department for all sites and all processes. Includes planning for staffing, across all sites. Lead communications with workshop leadership regarding plans and projects, including key performance metrics. Maintains inventory control and manages physical scrapping.Establish a program that will digitize and modernize the information flow along all touchpoints in both logistics and warehousing, from origin to destination, to include stops in warehousing.This role provides a vital shared service to internal General Managers across multiple sites. WarehouseInventory control, to include customer owned inventory.Physical and cycle counts as requiredReceiving shipments, QC inspections, reporting discrepancies.Developing and executing efficiencies in pick, pack, and shipments to include reporting key metrics (scheduled receipts, schedule/actual picks, on time shipments)Monitor safety of personnel and maintenance needs of equipmentMaintain on budget performanceContinually provide elevated level of customer service to Branch Facility leadershipEssential Duties & Responsibilities-
LogisticsAssist with the management of customs and corporate compliance across the entire company, ensuring that all processes are correctly adhered to deliver the highest level of customer service and client satisfactionResponsible for selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage.Manage both customs and trade compliance across the company, ensuring that all global regulations are understood.Responsible for determining Customs classifications and regulatory requirements (licenses, certificates, etc.)Ensure the highest compliance levels for all customs and government agency requirements across all staff and teams.Oversee entry auditing and reporting results and recommendations for improvement.Ensure that company's controls, policies, procedures, processes and applications are all understood by the team and implemented accordinglyEnsure that all internal audits are being completed and actioned as per client requirementsMaximize cost savings, minimize product shortages, and wrong shipmentsCollaborate with sales and customer operations team for planning and execution of supplier orders and related managementRefine workflow and offer recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operationsSelect carriers and negotiate contracts and rates.Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.Supervise logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.Organize warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments.Respond to any issues or complaints.Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.Evaluate budgets and expenditures.Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.Management ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight and direction to direct reports in accordance with the organization's strategy, goals, policies, and procedures.Work with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees.Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning opportunities.Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. RequirementsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesIn-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or supply chain-preferred.A minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role.Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis job operates in a professional office environment.
