Opportunity Overview: In the role of Nurse Practitioner at CSWD, you will be instrumental in assessing, diagnosing, and managing sleep disorders in our patients. You will work synergistically with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians, sleep technologists, and administrative staff, to deliver top-tier care aimed at boosting sleep health and overall patient wellness. Core Duties: Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and sleep-focused evaluations. Analyze diagnostic sleep studies, such as polysomnograms and home sleep apnea tests. Team up with physicians to establish precise diagnoses and craft effective treatment strategies. Treatment Planning and Management: Create and execute tailored treatment plans that address individual patient needs and conditions. Prescribe, oversee, and adjust medications, therapies, and other interventions targeting sleep disorders. Educate patients on lifestyle changes and sleep hygiene to enhance treatment outcomes. Follow-Up and Monitoring: Schedule and manage follow-up visits to evaluate treatment success and modify plans as necessary. Track patient progress and coordinate specialist referrals when indicated. Ensure patient records are meticulously documented and current. Patient Advocacy and Support: Deliver care with empathy and compassion, supporting patients and their families. Respond to patient inquiries and provide support throughout their care journey. Candidate Profile: Must possess a valid NP license in Maryland (post-hire licensing for Virginia and DC will be facilitated). Prior experience in sleep medicine or related disciplines is a plus. Demonstrated excellence in clinical assessment and diagnostics. Outstanding communication and team collaboration abilities. A strong dedication to patient-first healthcare.
