Production Control Planner

Job Requirements: Reports to the Production Control ManagerDevelops production plans based upon customer need dates and available company resourcesBuild Bill of Materials in Excel and ERP/MRP systemGenerate purchase request for requirementsCreates routings and generates shop routersCreates material transfer sheets for the outsourcing of parts.Ensures all parts and paperwork are correct to the bill of material, allocated to the various departments to support the Production Schedule.Ensures that the Engineering and customer requirements are satisfied.Monitors all operations for product produced to ensure delivery requirements are met and a quality product is shipped.Coordinates with Program Management and the Material Management Center to disposition residual inventory.Works with procurement to resolve any open purchase order issues, requests for expedited materials, etc.Ensures all work order travelers are complete, closed, and hard copy filed.Creates material transfer request for customers that have critical requirements needs.Determines the disposition of non-conforming material with quality assurance and manufacturing.Works with quality to investigate customer complaints and customer returned goods.Provides production status to management as necessary.May occasionally be required to lift up to 25 pounds.Knowledgeable with inventory, scheduling, manufacturing and Material Management.Participate in meetings with the Government customer or contractor. Qualifications Required:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must have experience with Costpoint ERP/MRPEffective problem-solving and analysis skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Able to read and interpret Mechanical and Electrical drawings.Must have background in mechanical or electrical manufacturingQualifications Desired:Experience with Dynafact manufacturing scheduling softwareMinimum Education/Experience: •High School Diploma or equivalent10+ years progressive experience either in production planningPrior experience working in a DOD Manufacturing Facility preferred.
