Role Description:
Lead technical team and provide technical direction for a technical team.Architect, Develop, Test, and Review code across 75 software projects.Provide technical expertise and direction to increase the effectiveness of the technical team.Provide a fresh perspective on solving technical problems efficiently and effectively, based on prior first-hand experience.Design and implement new solutions and present to the development team for buy-in, with supporting clean documentation.Communicate openly with teammates in person, via chat, via Confluence documentation, and Jira ticket comments.Provide inclusive environment for Jr. and Sr. Engineers to learn from your expertise.Develop and maintain healthy relationships with customer technical representatives and senior customer stakeholders.Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance withPolygraph.Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any technical field.Experience in a technical leadership role, setting technical direction and creating technical roadmaps.Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals.Deep knowledge of Java, Python, Go, and/or Typescript.Foundational knowledge of Linux/Unix/GNU.Deep knowledge of common data store technology and data pipeline/processing.Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals and debugging, at all layers of the network stack.Excels at working in a small technical team on high-impact software systems.Excels and enjoys learning new tech.Experience defining and hiring a technical team to meet customer requirements.Experience researching and discussion trade-offs for various technical solutions, to include COTS, GOTS, and in-house software systems.Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Expert knowledge of Linux/Unix/GNU.Advanced knowledge of cloud capabilities and cloud deployment patterns.Experience with building Data Analytics systems and/or geospatial technology.Experience with existing customer enterprise software systems and existing customer enterprise capabilities.Experience implementing Authentication/Authorization, Encryption, and other security best practices.About Navstar
