Cost Accounting Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

We're offering an exciting opportunity to join our entrepreneurial, fast-moving organization as a Cost Accounting Manager. This position is a part of our Finance Organization, with close partnerships with ABCorp operations' leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost and inventory accounting, support pricing process, and have direct exposure to planning and financial analysis of manufacturing operations. For the right candidate, there is an excellent opportunity to grow into Plant Controller role!

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required:

Leads the preparation of insightful analysis of weekly & monthly costing results, presents the results to management.Identifies risks, opportunities, and possible improvements in the working processes and supporting systems; trains people to improve company performance.Develops expertise with Visual ERP, Datarails, and other reporting tools; drives efficiency in data management processes and ensures data quality.Creates and maintains standard reporting and analysis framework and provides ad-hoc reporting to support management decision making.Supports the company's budgeting and forecasting processes including direct cost, factory overhead, and inventory planning.Partners with Operational Leadership, providing reporting, analyzing manufacturing variances, identifies and addressing issues.Participates in month end close & reporting - updates cost accruals, analyzes actual results vs budget/PY in production volumes, variable costs, manufacturing variances, fixed costs and capex.Works in close collaboration with various teams cross-functionally - Accounting, Operations, HR, Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, and others.Supports internal and external audits, including a year-end inventory audit.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics - Master's degree preferredA minimum of five years of experience in a high-volume environment, or equivalent.Ideal background includes experience within cost accounting, financial analysis, or inventory accounting within a mid-size manufacturing company.Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Ability to provide a high-level overview, while keeping accuracy and attention to details in place.Exceptionally

Strong MS Excel and Power Point skillsGood to have:
