The Americas PAO Sales Manager is responsible for sales and business development activities for the regions of North and South America. The Americas PAO Sales Manager fosters collaborative interaction with Product Management, Supply Chain, and counterparts in Europe and Asia. This position has direct account responsibility for several large accounts and distributors and has people management responsibility for at least two sales representatives.
Responsibilities
Achieve profitability, annual growth and sales targets by successfully managing the sales team, which includes 2-3 sales representatives as direct reports
Sales plan development and implementation for the region that supports product line goals and objectives
Directly manage and grow relationships with key global accounts
Manage branded distribution network in North and South America
Lead negotiation with key accounts to secure long-term business
Monitor current market conditions and communicate with PAO team
Represent CPChem at multiple industry related conferences
Work collaboratively within and outside the product line to achieve established goals
Set objectives, coach, and mentor performance of sales team
Manage group budget and travel expenses; efficiently use other internal resources
Effectively communicate and reinforce company strategic initiatives
Required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field
At least 2 years of sales experience consistently meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets
Proven ability to drive the sales process by negotiating and closing sustainable sales
7 years of petrochemical industry experience
Demonstrated effective communication at all levels of customer organization and within CPChem network
Strong business acumen
Position requires up to 50% travel within US & Canada with occasional international travel
Preferred
Qualifications
Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, National Account Manager experience preferred
5 Years of prior sales experience consistently meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets
Prior PAO or lubricant industry experience preferred
