**Position Overview:**

Premier Nursing and Rehab Center of Far Rockaway is seeking a dynamic and results-driven **Director of Admissions** to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility's admissions process, ensuring the seamless and efficient intake of residents while maintaining a high level of customer service and compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Admissions department, including processing and evaluating admissions inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

- Lead and supervise the admissions team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, families, and referral sources.

- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate admissions and placements.

- Ensure the facility is compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations related to admissions and healthcare services.

- Maintain and monitor occupancy goals, and develop strategies to optimize facility census.

- Develop relationships with hospital discharge planners, social workers, insurance providers, and other referral sources to promote the facility's services and increase referrals.

- Maintain a deep understanding of insurance and Medicare/Medicaid policies to guide families and prospective residents through the financial and coverage processes.

- Oversee the admissions documentation and ensure that all files are accurate, complete, and meet all compliance and accreditation standards.

- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure the best care and services are delivered to new residents.

- Provide exceptional customer service and communication to families, patients, and staff, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred).

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare admissions or marketing role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.

- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance policies.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.

- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other compliance requirements.
