Position: Admissions Director
Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, NJ is seeking an exceptional and dynamic individual to join our team as the Admissions Director.
About the Role:
As the Admissions Director at Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a pivotal role in our organization. Your primary responsibilities include engaging with hospitals and various referral sources promptly and discreetly, liaising with family members and the interdisciplinary team to ensure a seamless admissions process, and collaborating closely with the marketing team to sustain and enhance our daily census across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuously evaluate operational areas impacting admissions, providing detailed reports to administration and the corporate team, and actively participating in the development of solutions.
Support marketing outreach efforts by participating in functions/events to bolster our facilities' positive reputation, foster relationships, and increase referral and admissions rates.
Clarify visitor and guest privileges, restrictions, and resident care procedures as needed.
Streamline communication with hospitals to prepare for patient needs upon admission.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and community organizations to drive consistent admissions and maintain a favorable reputation for Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial verifications before patient admission, effectively communicating with the interdisciplinary team.
Stay informed about regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement processes.
Compile and present monthly statistics to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Admissions within a Skilled Nursing Facility.
Proficiency in Medicare requirements and knowledge of insurance providers, including Medicare rules (PDPM), HMO rules (RUGS II & III), and Medicare prescription plans.
Familiarity with EMR software systems.
Thorough understanding of CMS guidelines, DOH regulations, and insurance policies.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred: Established relationships with hospitals in New Jersey.
