About this roleResponsible for the oversight and implementation of the youth program performance series and community outreach for the arts center. Creates youth arts education programs. Establishes and maintains partnerships for community arts education projects and expands the impact of arts center usage. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and during holiday scheduled events.
What a day of an Arts Center Outreach Coordinator looks like :
Manages contract coordination, preparation, and processing. Creates co-sponsorship and contract agreements for all youth programming and outreach at the venue and in the community.Manages the youth series program, to include school requests, event preparation, timeline, logistics, seating, and processing deposit with College's cashier.
Develops and maintains partnership relationships with external agencies, vendors, and city officials to promote the youth program and use of the facility. Maintains vendors customer database, including contracts, addresses, and terms.
Conducts marketing and public relations for theater youth productions to county schools and other organizations, to include collateral design and publication.
Develops and analyzes youth series reports, to include revenue, attendance, and teacher survey.
Coordinates all master classes and workshop opportunities in the community and on campus. Creates a schedule for classes offered at the arts center or in the classroom in coordination with the student activities office. Hires artists to teach classes in theater, voice, and movement.
Coordinates the activities of one or more staff. Assists in scheduling and administrative requirements. This may include student workers, part-time, full-time, temporary, and volunteers.
Monitors the budget to ensure that expenditures are within the budget guidelines as directed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree
Three years of experience with event management, production and support, or arts related experience
Knowledge of:
Venue management and production support
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled in:
Delivering a high level of customer service
Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
Resolving conflicts between individual needs and requirements of the organization
Ability to:
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
Accurately manage a budget
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
Regular physical attendance required
Preferred, but not a must :
Education and Experience:
Experience with arts education and programming for youth
Work Environment and Physical Demand:
Lift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing 20 to 49 pounds
Reach and grasp objects
Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Stand for extended periods of time
Use of video display terminal
Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
Communicate information orally and in writing
Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
Proofread and check documents for accuracy
Work with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injury
Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions
Work a fluctuating work schedule
