Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 2025!When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years! This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration will establish a robust system of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high-quality care in their community.This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports.We are seeking a Director of Environmental Services – HousekeepingThe Director of Environmental Services/Housekeeping establishes, directs and sustains a fiscally responsible and measurably effective housekeeping and linen program across the hospital. The Director is expected to lead a housekeeping operation that produces a sparkling clean, hygienic, and safe environment that is patient-centered, sustainable (i.e., employs “green cleaning” and integrated pest management), aligned with customer demands, and yields great results measured by patient satisfaction scores and internal key performance indicators within the approved budget. Education Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or related field required.Experience:Previous experience in a hospital environment requiredAt least 10 years (10) of leadership experience; leadership in an Environmental Services leadership position preferredExperience working in a union environment is preferredExperience using LEAN or other similar performance improvement methods to transform operations preferredMust complete GWUH Hazardous Materials Training for Generators within 60 Days of hireSkills:Excellent customer service skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrategic planning skillsAbility and experience to interact as a business partner to other departments and executives within the hospital and with external customers/partnersEEO Statement
