As a Business Analyst Consultant for Optum Operations, you will be responsible for helping to innovate an expanding operational team and the tools that support their work, with the opportunity to gain high-level exposure by working with internal and external customers to better serve our members.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:Develop and document the new UHC / Optum process flows, P & P's, and training materials to resolve issues.Develop new enterprise wide implementation and renewal processes, documents and user acceptance test plans to ensure UHC / Optum business processes meet compliance regulations.Directly interface with clients in order to achieve product / solution delivery.Meet performance standards in relations to client agreements / expectations.Perform production support monitoring and issue resolution analysis to prevent adverse impact during migration / transformation period.Requirements writing for IT system enhancements.Process improvements to support an operational team and the tools that support their work.Work cross functionally with internal and external customers and technology and processing teams.Perform process and data analysis to resolve issues.Identify system and or process gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Required Qualifications:4+ years of experience in business / finance analysis (including experience writing requirements).2+ years of experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes.Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with relational databases and / or database structures.Experience in "accumulators".Healthcare, Claims or Banking industry experience.Experience working in a matrix organization.Experience with first pass claim automation.Excellent communication, time / project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
