Baystate Health , western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate Health, is seeking an Infectious Disease physician to join our team in western Massachusetts. Position Highlights: Join our growing Infectious Disease Division at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA. Our team includes 9 ID physicians, 3 APPs, ID fellows and a strong support team. Assume the role of Program Director for our well-established adult infectious disease fellowship and practice 100% Infectious Disease specialty inpatient and outpatient care to a diverse patient population with a wide variety of complex infections. Faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate commensurate to academic achievement and experience. Clinical research and QI, safety, and population science projects are available and encouraged. In addition to a Ryan White-funded HIV clinic, Baystate offers a robust antibiotic stewardship program, a system-wide infection control program, and a state-funded special pathogens project. Leadership is committed to your professional satisfaction and work/life balance – weekend call is every 4-6 weeks on average. Board certification in Infectious Disease with at least 3 years’ experience in graduate medical education and a solid commitment to the Baystate values of collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning. Demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities, strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
