Program Director, Education Policy and Economic Development Analytics for the READY Institute
will spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive academic pathways and will execute qualitative and quantitative data-driven strategies to assess and evaluate the success of students at every educational and professional stage.The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of public policy, education data, data science, and a hands-on approach to guiding research initiatives and policy development in education.HOW TO APPLY:
https://ejobs.umd.edu/postings/123903MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Master's degree from an accredited college or university.Experience:A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible related experience, including experience in quantitative or qualitative research.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of public-sector inter-agency, multi-layered database development and management, collaboration, and system integration.Knowledge of Privacy Requirements: In-depth understanding of privacy requirements across different policy areas such as education, health, and commerce.Skills in Project Management.Ability to work with multiple stakeholders (many types and many levels) and collaborate across these stakeholders to contribute to and provide expertise to the development of a comprehensive analysis educational model.Leadership, management, and organizational skills.Understanding of how to direct large research teams and execute successful research projects.Ability to secure and manage external research funding efficiently.Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings into clear, actionable policy recommendations.PREFERENCES:Masters degree in a related field such as Education, Public Policy, Sociology, Economics -Experience in data science, or equivalent areas.Experience in an education or social sciences related environment.Experience in designing and developing complex data analytics organizations and utilizing up-to-date data integration technologies and approaches.Experience in managing complex multi-institutional data projects in collaboration with educational entities and government agencies.Experience in managing complex public forums and multimedia communication technologies.
