Job Overview:
At Manulife, the Global Retirement Team within the Global Wealth and Asset Management Segment is seeking a rock star Senior Salesforce Engineer. This individual will be excited to participate in the successful implementation and support of AWS Connect and Contact Center modernization. As a senior engineer, you will design, engineer, test, maintain, and improve Salesforce integrated applications within Agile squads. Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical leadership within an agile team.
Design application components that are reusable, efficient, and easy to maintain.
Mentor Intermediate and Associate Software Engineers.
Development and Customization:
Build new and refactor existing code to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Create custom objects, custom formula fields, field dependencies, relationships, picklists, custom tabs, validation rules, workflows, and approval processes.
Customize the current instance/Salesforce sites with custom objects, Visualforce, and other key Salesforce development technologies.
Integration and API Development:
Experience with REST, both exposing a REST service and consuming an external REST service from Salesforce platform.
Expertise in API engineering and integration.
Collaboration and Agile Methodologies:
Collaborate closely with Product Owners and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Work closely with other squads to drive innovative solutions to meet business needs.
Work closely with software engineers to establish best practices for development, testing, and delivery.
Experience in Agile scrum methodologies and working in an Agile team.
Research and Prototyping:
Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of Salesforce experience.
Experience in Salesforce CRM platform in development, administration, integration, deployments, lightning component, and lightning design system.
Strong knowledge in customizing Salesforce with custom objects, Visualforce, APEX, Lightning (Aura), Lightning Web Components, and other key Salesforce development technologies.
Experience with REST services and various integration tools and API development.
Expertise in LWCs, Flows, and Apex with good programming skills.
Strong attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
Experience in designing and implementing frameworks and API/Service Layers such as NodeJS, Spring Boot (Rest Template, Feign Client, Zuul, Sleuth/Zipkin, Hystrix, and Maven), Swagger, Stoplight.io, Node/Express.
Experience reviewing design and code to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in grasping and explaining high-level solution architecture.
Multiple certifications in Salesforce.
API engineering and integration experience.

Salary range is expected to be between
$74,270.00 CAD - $137,930.00 CAD
