Responsibilities:
Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a n highly experienced Configuration Management Lead to provide Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test ( SEIT ) support to the United States Space Force (USSF) Operational Command and Control ( C2 ) Acquisition Delta responsible for developing software and the supporting architecture for the organize, understand, plan, decide, direct, and monitor capabilities within the C2 Joint Capability Areas ( JCAs ). A successful candidate should be a self-starter who possess es initiative, excellent communication skills, the ability to lead and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and a proven problem solver .
J ob responsibilities will include , but may not be limited to:
Overseeing management of configuration items, including documentation, chan ge control board, and lifecycle managementP repar ing and ensur ing complete Configuration Management (CM) documentation is maintainedScheduling and coordinating C hange C ontrol B oards, and documents and implementing outcomes / changes / E ngineering Change Proposals ( E CP ) s, which must keep pace with a high-speed Agile/ DevSecOps environmentLeading a configuration management team that is integrated with multi-functional SAFe / DevSecOps and Fielding teamsAutomating CM to the maximum extent possible, using approved tools; working with Quality to ensure effectiveness and adherence of CM policies and automated processesDeveloping and implementing the CM plan, ensuring it is compliant with S pace Systems Command (S SC ) policy and NIST 800-53 CM controlsManage the release of artifacts and artifact packagesCoordinating CM with P rogram Management , Risk, Quality, and Task Lead personnel (Development, Test, Fielding/Sustai n ment, Cloud Services) and policiesGather, track, and report key performance indicators and metrics to the leadership teamProvide guidance and influence Program Leadership in the execution of all phases of CM and Data Management ( CM DM ) principles (Planning, Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting, Verification/Audits, Data Mgmt., etc.).Reviewing, updating, and maintaining process documentation, auditing, and evaluating compliance with established processes, sharing best practices among program practitionersQualifications:
Required Experience:
15 years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience6 years of related of CMDM experienceExperience executing the five functions of Configuration Management (Configuration Management Planning and Management, Configuration Identification, Configuration Change Management, Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Verification and Audit)Experience in the following applications frameworks:Microsoft Office products to include SharePoint, Word, ExcelAdobe AcrobatConfluence; Jira; Gitlab; Puppet; Terraform; AnsibleAbility to ensure CM in on-prem, hybrid, and Cloud environmentsCreat ing and updat ing configuration items and technical documentationCreat ing and updat ing workflows; automat ing them to maximum extent possibleDemonstrated l eadership and t eam-building skillsExtremely motivated individual who is a self-starter and works well in a fast-paced team environmentStrong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teamsExcellent analytical and organizational skills, specifically attention to detail along with effective time and project management skillsExperience with presenting and communicating technical data to various audiences (government and leadership audience experience preferred)Willingness to mentor colleagues and lead brown bag sessions

The pay range for this position in California is $150,000/year to $185,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
