Accounting Manager

Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee and enhance core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general and administrative (G&A) expenses, treasury management, and revenue recognition. This role will involve managing the monthly close process, conducting financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and driving efficiencies across the department. A strong foundation in public accounting, coupled with a CPA license, is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes.Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections.Implement controls to maintain high-quality A/P and A/R operations and mitigate risk.Lead the G&A expense tracking, forecasting, and analysis.Oversee general ledger reconciliation, accruals, and other month-end close activities.Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP.Collaborate with finance and operations teams to support contract reviews, revenue reporting, and compliance with company policies.Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.Monitor and implement accounting policies and procedures to drive consistency and efficiency.Manage and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a collaborative work environment.Support team members' professional development and growth, ensuring high standards of performance.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with expertise in A/P, A/R, G&A, treasury, and revenue recognition.Public accounting experience and CPA license strongly preferred.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intact, or other financial tools).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.ABOUT MOROCH PARTNERS
