About the Position

Huber Heights Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team! The ideal Veterinarian will a strong interest or experience in surgery combined with exceptional communication skills, allowing them to bond with clients and build positive relationships with our incredible team members.

We provide you with the tools to help your patients through industry-leading medical and diagnostic capabilities. Huber Heights Animal Hospital has proudly served the Dayton community since 1959. We offer comprehensive care to our patients, which includes small animals with some pocket pets and exotics. The incoming Veterinarian will enjoy practicing in our hospital equipped with five exam rooms, a surgery room and prep room, along with full in-house lab equipment, digital x-ray, dental x-ray and ultrasound.

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problemsTreat and dress woundsPerform surgery on animalsTest for and vaccinate against diseasesOperate medical equipment, such as x-ray machinesAdvise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatmentsPrescribe medicationWork closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree requiredLicensure in the state/s candidate will be workingAbility to show compassion to both pets and their ownersOutstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasksAbility to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animalStrong fondness and understanding of animalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of animal behaviorAbility to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
