Johnstone Supply is looking for a tech-savvy IT Support individual to join our IT department. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for all things IT, helping us stay efficient and productive. A problem solver with excellent communication abilities and an understanding of network, hardware, and software fundamentals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of IT Support include, but are not limited to:Technical Assistance
Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in personDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devicesAssist users with setup, installation and configuration of computer equipment and peripheralsSoftware and System Support
Provide support for commonly used software, including operating systems (Windows, macOS) and business applicationsAssist with setting up and maintaining user accounts, permissions and access rightsTroubleshoot issues related to email, network drives and VPN accessNetwork and Connectivity
Support network connectivity issues, including wired and wireless networksTroubleshoot and resolve VPN, firewall, and remote access issuesAssist with the setup and configuration of the network hardware as neededDocumentation and Reporting
Maintain documentation for common troubleshooting steps, frequently asked questions, and knowledge-base articlesRecord and update all support requests in a ticketing system and ensure timely follow-up and completionProvide reports on support ticket trends and suggest improvementsHardware Maintenance and Asset Management
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardwareMaintain an inventory of IT assets and manage hardware lifecycles (procurement, allocation, and decommissioning)Support users with setting up and troubleshooting conference room AV equipment as neededBENEFITS

Required:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field/equivalent experienceMinimum 1-3 years IT experienceProficiency in Windows, macOS, and Microsoft SuiteBasic networking knowledgePreferred:Experience with help desk ticketing systemCertifications CompTIA A, Microsoft certified IT professionalFamiliarity with remote support tools and techniquesKnowledge of EclipseJob-Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
