The Deposit Operations Representative IV takes corrective action as necessary.Depth & Scope:Performs complex or non-routine administrative tasks exercising judgment and discretion in the performance of duties usually in support of a single unit or team within Deposit Operations.Works within standard procedures or modifies procedures for supervisory review and approval.Tasks are performed independently with limited supervision and review; Tasks may include filing, research, and customer service and contact; Provides information and procedural knowledge for less experienced staff.Suggests changes or modifications to policies and procedures to supervisor based on day-to-day observations and activities.Makes non-routine entries into processing and tracking systems related to paperwork, deposits, and information processed.Clarifies procedures and performs the more complex aspects of tasks performed by assigned unit or team.Acts as an experienced resource for information and know-how for less experienced staff.Assesses workflow and productivity of assigned units to make improvement recommendations to management.Contacts customers to explain items affecting their accounts.Processes customers' written requests such as death notices, tax changes, tax audits, and other account information changes, corrections, or updates.Education & Experience:High school diploma or GED.2-4 years related experience.Basic computer literacy and proficiency in common PC applications.Knowledge of deposit services policies and procedures or other relevant banking operations experience is required.Excellent customer service skills.Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload to meet unit objectives.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to provide guidance to others, clarifying complex policies and procedures and facilitating knowledge-sharing in the workgroup is required.1-3 years of banking experience preferred.Physical Requirements:Domestic Travel – OccasionalInternational Travel – NeverPerforming sedentary work – ContinuousPerforming multiple tasks – ContinuousOperating standard office equipment - ContinuousResponding quickly to sounds – OccasionalSitting – ContinuousStanding – OccasionalWalking – OccasionalMoving safely in confined spaces – OccasionalLifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.) – OccasionalLifting/Carrying (over 25 lbs.) – NeverSquatting – OccasionalBending – OccasionalKneeling – NeverCrawling – NeverClimbing – NeverReaching overhead – NeverReaching forward – OccasionalPushing – NeverPulling – NeverTwisting – NeverConcentrating for long periods of time – ContinuousApplying common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations – ContinuousReading, writing, and comprehending instructions – ContinuousAdding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing – ContinuousThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
