WE ARE HIRING!AtkinsRéalis is seeking an ITS/Traffic Engineer to join our ITS/Traffic Team. This is an
entry-level
position and is based out of Tampa, FL.ABOUT USAtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s most respected design, engineering, and project management consultancies. We have been providing infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture, and program management services to public and private clients across the United States for more than 50 years.RESPONSIBILITIESDesigns and develops plans and drawings for ITS/Traffic design projects and Traffic studies, including traffic signal design, fiber optic communications cable routing, utility coordination, signing and pavement marking design, traffic safety studies, and traffic modeling.Organizes and conducts engineering investigations and planning work with a well-defined scope.Outlines and prepares straightforward sections of more complex reports under the review of a more experienced professional.Provides engineering services during construction by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with specifications and preparing progress reports.Researches feasibility of alternative design approaches and regulatory agency specifications.Contributes to the development of specifications and permit applications.Participates in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced.Coordinates with other disciplines as required and performs field observations of construction.Performs other duties as deemed necessary by supervisors.QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE: 0-2 years of experience.EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering.
