Senior ITS/Traffic Engineer
in
Denver, CO .Our teams are currently delivering exciting, nationally important, and industry-leading infrastructure projects, including roadways, toll facilities, transit, sustainable solutions, and transportation technology projects. We have the depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.How will you contribute to the team?Help build a larger ITS/Traffic Engineering group within our Denver office through training and mentoring of junior engineers.Assist with marketing and business development efforts by providing technical expertise on proposals and working with our business units to help identify new opportunities.Manage tasks and projects for DOT and local agency clients.Lead and perform ITS/Traffic Engineering and design assignments of a varied nature.Develop drawings for traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, traffic control, lighting, and ITS for transportation projects.Review project submittals, including conceptual, preliminary, and final ITS plans. Confirm compliance with state and federal design criteria and standards. Record review comments and confirm compliance to comments with responses and subsequent submittals.Assist in performing post-design oversight such as shop drawing reviews and construction requests for information.Design and Testing of a Completed and Operational ITS System, including DMS, CSS, CTSS, and Traffic Detectors.Assist in design and development of intelligent mobility concepts including requirements analysis, technology review and selection, development and communication of operational concepts, specifications development, and testing.Perform basic project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management, and marketing assistance.Ensure work produced is technically accurate and delivered in accordance with the appropriate standards.Coordinate with internal project staff, subconsultants, and clients.Present to clients and key stakeholders in a professional, responsive, and client-focused manner.Provide leadership, direction, technical guidance, and function as a mentor to technical professionals to assist in their training and development.Maintain and develop excellent professional relationships which can secure repeat business.What will you contribute?B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred.This level may be achieved by Engineers with at least seven years of experience since B.S or six years since M.S.
