About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance for its REIT. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of all accounting, internal reporting, and external audit activities. This role involves managing a team of direct and indirect reports, working closely with executive management, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. Key duties include overseeing fund, construction, and corporate accounting, working with auditors on financial statement reviews, and performing quarter-end consolidations. The role also requires continuous updating of financial models, preparation of various financial statements, and handling ad hoc reporting and special projects. Applicants for the Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance position at the company's REIT should have a BS and/or MS degree in accounting or a related field, with a CPA and at least 4 years' experience in public accounting preferred. A minimum of 4 years' recent experience at the Controller level, particularly in support of commercial or residential portfolios, is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of US GAAP and fund reporting, strong managerial experience, and proficiency in Yardi or similar real estate accounting software. The role demands a self-starter with strong planning and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Real estate industry experience is a requirement for this position.
